In his eighth address of the nation on the state of COVID-19 in the country, The president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo revealed that his government has commenced the construction of some 88 Hospitals in some districts of the country. The comments of the president has raised numerous concerns as most people claim the president cannot fulfill his promise. One of such key groups who doubt the ability of the president to execute this promise is the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to the NDC, the president is not committed to the fight against covid-19 but he is just on a campaign thrill. It is against this backdrop that, Social Commentator, Allotey Jacobs, has admonished the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to cease its verbal attacks against President Nana Akufo-Addo over the latter’s pledge to construct 88 district hospitals in the country.
Addressing the nation in his 8th update on COVID-19, President Nana Akufo-Addo disclosed some deficiencies that need in the health sector.
As at now, Ghana has recorded 1,671 cases with 11 deaths. According to the Ghana Health Service, the surge in cases is as a result of government’s intensed routine surveillance and contact tracing
