Ghana has recorded a total of 120 recoveries from the deadly coronavirus, this means an additional of 20 new recoveries have been made. This was announced at a press briefing organized by the ministry of information to educate citizens on governments measures and initiatives to tackle the coronavirus.

Although the number of recoveries have increased, reports from the Ghana Health Service also indicates a surge in the number of confirmed cases from 1,042 to 1,154 as at April 22, 2020. The increase in cases is as a result of government’s enhanced routine surveillance and contact tracing.
