President Akufo-Addo says that work will soon begin for the construction of three infectious disease control centres for each of the zones for the country.
He disclosed this during his eighth address to the nation concerning government’s efforts in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
President Akufo-Addo said that these centres will be in the Coastal, Middle belt and Northern zones of the country.
He also announced plans by the government to construct 88 new hospitals across the country to boost the delivery of health care.
Also, Akufo-Addo says that plans are advanced to establish COVID-19 testing centres across the country to enhance the country’s capacity to test coronavirus samples.
